Chandigarh, Jan 16 (NationPress) The Haryana government has announced that it will facilitate a pilgrimage for senior citizens from economically disadvantaged families to the Mahakumbh Tirtha in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, as of Thursday.
As part of the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana, the government will arrange travel for citizens across all districts, according to an official statement. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made this announcement during a meeting with Administrative Secretaries, where he evaluated the government’s progress in its first 100 days.
This initiative is an extension of the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana, which already sends eligible elderly citizens aged 60 and above to Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla. The program also encompasses visits to Mata Vaishno Devi and Shirdi Sai Tirtha. The recent expansion now includes the Mahakumbh Tirtha as an additional destination.
The Chief Minister highlighted that during the initial 100 days, numerous important measures have been implemented for the advancement of various sectors, including agriculture, education, and health.
He also held extensive discussions with officials to guarantee the effective execution of the government’s public welfare initiatives, both for the initial 100 days and the forthcoming five years.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for all officers to rigorously implement the 'Citizen Charter' within their respective departments.
Additionally, he urged all officials to keep the CM Announcement Portal up-to-date. He emphasized that requests received through Jan Samvad should be prioritized, ensuring prompt responses.
Instructing all Administrative Secretaries, the Chief Minister called for unexpected inspections within their departments to prevent delays in public interest work. He insisted that all outstanding cases needing personal hearings be addressed as soon as possible.
