The individual has been named as Mohit Priyadarshi, 31, who resides in the Civil Lines area of Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
His arrest occurred at the Kishangarh police station in response to a complaint filed on August 30 by a local woman, according to police reports released on Friday.
The victim, living in Kishangarh Village, disclosed that on the evening of August 30, around 10:20 p.m., she was at Shani Bazar, Kishangarh Village, when she became aware of an unknown male attempting to record inappropriate videos of her without her permission using a device shaped like a lighter, which concealed a camera.
Following this, authorities registered a case under section 77/78 BNS and commenced an investigation.
Recognizing the sensitive nature of the situation, a specialized team was created to delve deeper into the complaint.
This team consisted of Sub Inspector Divya Yadav, Head Constable Yogesh, HC Shyam Sundar, Constable Mohan, and Ct. Vikas, all under the guidance of Inspector Ajai Kumar Yadav, SHO/Kishangarh, with overall oversight from Melvyn Varghese, ACP/Sub-Division Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi.
