Dehradun, Nov 9 (NationPress) On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the silver jubilee of Uttarakhand by unveiling numerous developmental initiatives valued at over Rs 8,000 crore. These projects encompass vital sectors such as drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports, and skill development.
During the event, PM Modi also launched a commemorative postage stamp and addressed attendees, extending his congratulations to the citizens of the state on this significant milestone.
Among the announced projects, Rs 930 crore worth were inaugurated while foundation stones were laid for projects amounting to Rs 7,210 crore.
The Prime Minister's presence at the silver jubilee celebration was met with widespread acclaim from the Hindu spiritual community, with many saints and seers praising his dedication and determination to transform Devbhoomi through substantial investments, including the revitalization of the Char Dham.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan, remarked, "The essence of India resides in its pilgrimage destinations, with Uttarakhand being the heart of these sacred sites. Today, a divine message has echoed from this holy land."
"This is the abode of the gods. The message today was transcendent, highlighting that over the past 25 years, the budget has surged from Rs 4,000 crore to Rs 1 lakh crore, along with the introduction of new initiatives," he noted.
Mahamandaleshwar Sadhvi Pushpanjali Puri from Mahanirvani Akhara asserted, "India requires a visionary leader like Narendra Modi, and we wish him longevity and health for all his contributions to the nation."
Mahant Ravindra Puri Ji Maharaj expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for asserting that Uttarakhand would be recognized as the spiritual center of the world.
Hemant Dwivedi, Chairman of the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, stated, "It is a source of pride that he has a unique bond with this small yet sacred region."
Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurveda, stated, "It is heartening for Uttarakhand that the Prime Minister's vision and focus are directed specifically at this state, known for its divine heritage and the unwavering commitment of its sages."
