New Delhi, Sep 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a phone call on Saturday with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, where they exchanged insights on the latest initiatives aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. They reaffirmed India's unwavering commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict and the swift restoration of peace and stability across the region.

Previously, the two leaders had a phone discussion on August 21 to align their positions on the war in Ukraine, striving for a fair and lasting peace.

“I had a very productive conversation with President Macron. We evaluated and appreciated the progress in our bilateral cooperation across several sectors. We discussed various international and regional matters, particularly efforts to quickly conclude the conflict in Ukraine. The India-France Strategic Partnership will continue to be pivotal in enhancing global peace and stability,” PM Modi shared on X following the call.

During their discussion, they also reviewed the advancements in bilateral collaboration in areas such as economy, defense, science, technology, and space. They reiterated their dedication to further fortifying the India-France Strategic Partnership, following the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, the Indo-Pacific Roadmap, and the Defense Industrial Roadmap.
