Bengaluru, July 16 (NationPress) In a strong rebuke of the Congress National OBC Advisory Council meeting held in Bengaluru, the Karnataka BJP criticized the grand old party, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes from a most backward class and does not engage in community division.
At a media briefing, State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra alleged that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is mistakenly convinced that he is the sole advocate for backward classes and the AHINDA movement (a Kannada acronym representing minorities, backward classes, and Dalits).
“Narendra Modi Ji served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and initiated significant development during that time,” Vijayendra stated.
“For the last 11 years since 2014, he has been continuously guiding the nation as the Prime Minister. Modi Ji represents one of the most backward communities and is a man of the people,” he added.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Modi does not hail from a political dynasty.
Vijayendra remarked, “Unlike you, Mr. Siddaramaiah, Modi Ji is not a 'fortunate' Chief Minister or a lottery winner. Through his own relentless effort, with a clear vision for the country, and a steadfast dedication to India's development, he has been serving the nation for the past 11 years.”
“Although PM Modi Ji belongs to a backward class, he has never exploited his identity for political gain as you do. Instead, he has united all parts of society under the motto of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' (Together with all, development for all, trust of all, effort by all),” he continued.
“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has repeatedly portrayed the BJP as opposed to social justice and minority rights. However, the Chief Minister should remember that the first citizen of our country, President Droupadi Murmu, comes from a tribal background,” Vijayendra highlighted.
“In history, it was the BJP that appointed A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as the nation's President, not Congress. Presently, there are BJP Chief Ministers from Scheduled Castes and Tribes in six states and from backward classes in four states across India,” he stressed.
“The Congress party is cultivating the toxic seeds of caste division and attempting to fracture society. Its concern for backward classes, SCs, STs, or minorities is merely a facade,” Vijayendra criticized.
“Every welfare initiative introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been inclusive and comprehensive. While Congress merely discusses Muslims, it was Modi Ji who boldly abolished triple talaq,” he stated.
“We fear neither Rahul Gandhi nor Siddaramaiah — or the Congress party as a whole. Modi Ji has taken a principled and genuine stance on the caste census. However, where is Siddaramaiah now? His theatrics and drama will not succeed,” Vijayendra concluded in response to another question.
