What Did PM Modi Announce at the Launch of Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited?

Patna, Sep 2 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited, highlighting that this initiative will facilitate easier access to financial support for women involved with Jeevika.

Speaking virtually, PM Modi announced the transfer of Rs 105 crore to the Jeevika Sisters.

He stated, "With this, sisters linked to Jeevika will now receive funds more conveniently. This financial assistance will bolster their business activities or work endeavors," he remarked.

PM Modi emphasized that the Jeevika Nidhi system has been fully digitized, removing the necessity for physical visits.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the core of a developed India is built on the foundation of women's empowerment.

"To uplift women, we must eliminate various challenges they face in life. Hence, our government has implemented numerous measures to simplify the lives of mothers, sisters, and daughters," he stated.

Enumerating significant welfare measures, PM Modi highlighted the construction of millions of toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission to liberate women from the urgency of open defecation, the PM Awas Yojana houses registered in women’s names to ensure their social dignity, a free ration scheme relieving mothers from the anxiety of feeding their children, and specific programs such as Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi, and Bank Sakhi aimed at enhancing women’s income and reinforcing their financial autonomy.

"These initiatives are a Mahayagya to serve mothers and sisters," PM Modi proclaimed, adding that in the upcoming months, the NDA government in Bihar would intensify this campaign.

Linking his speech to Bihar's cultural heritage, the Prime Minister reminisced about the approaching Navratri festival and the unique Satbahini Puja celebrated in Bihar and Eastern India.

In the meantime, he criticized the opposition in Bihar for their offensive remarks directed at him and his late mother.

"My mother faced insults from the RJD-Congress stage in Bihar. Such insults are not only an affront to my mother but also to all mothers and sisters across India," PM Modi expressed.

"That mother of mine, who was never part of politics and has passed away, was insulted from the RJD-Congress stage. This is truly distressing. What was her fault?" he questioned.

PM Modi accused Congress and its allies of struggling to accept the emergence of leaders from impoverished and marginalized backgrounds.

During his speech, PM Modi invoked Bihar's cultural values, quoting, "Maa ke sthan, Devta-Pitra se bhi hola (a mother's place is above gods and ancestors)."

He pointed out that the state’s traditions of honoring women contrasted sharply with the behavior of opposition leaders.

"The tradition of venerating seven sisters as mothers, along with the respect and faith towards mothers, is the true identity of Bihar. For our government, the dignity of a mother, her respect, and her self-worth are of paramount importance. A mother is our entire world, and she embodies our self-respect," he stated.
