Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 27 (NationPress) Developed countries are keen to forge trade agreements with India, as a resolute India emerges with confidence, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address at the Rising Bharat Summit, hosted by a prominent news organization.
On Friday, while discussing the theme "Strength Within," the Prime Minister showcased India's extraordinary evolution over the past 11 years, characterized by the reclamation of national capabilities, economic independence, and a well-defined pathway to becoming a developed nation by 2047.
He drew inspiration from ancient scriptures, recalling the tenet "Tat Tvam Asi," which translates to acknowledging that the divinity sought externally resides within oneself.
Modi affirmed that India has awakened to this intrinsic strength, harnessing it through consistent efforts aimed at empowering both citizens and institutions.
He emphasized that true potential is not achieved overnight but is nurtured over generations. The previous decade has reinvigorated the national spirit, allowing the country to reclaim its lost glory.
The Prime Minister underscored notable achievements that have established India as a pivotal player in global growth.
He noted the fortification of the banking system, control over double-digit inflation, and a renewed focus on manufacturing, enhanced by improved product quality and robust economic policies.
He described India's Digital Public Infrastructure, particularly the synergy of Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile, as a model that international leaders often seek to comprehend.
"Through Direct Benefit Transfer, over 24 trillion rupees have been disbursed to beneficiaries without any leakages," he pointed out.
Modi highlighted India's emergence as a leading solar energy nation, marking the end of an era where 30 million households were without electricity.
"The railway network has witnessed remarkable expansion, now ranking as the world's third-largest metro system, with trains like Vande Bharat and Namo Bharat setting new standards in connectivity," he added.
Regarding artificial intelligence, Modi observed that, unlike previous industrial revolutions where India followed, the nation is now actively shaping the discourse in the AI landscape, boasting a flourishing domestic start-up ecosystem and advancing data processing infrastructure.
The recent AI Summit, attended by representatives from over 100 countries, served as a proud moment for the nation.
PM Modi stressed the importance of a long-term vision in nation-building, asserting that progress requires patience and timely decision-making rather than short-sighted approaches.
"Investments in self-reliance today will secure a prosperous future for generations to come through semiconductor ecosystems, green hydrogen, solar energy, ethanol blending, defense production, mobile manufacturing, drone technology, and essential mineral infrastructure," he said.
In agriculture, Modi pointed out the allocation of 28 lakh crore rupees in loans, which is four times higher than previous figures, alongside direct deposits of over four lakh crore rupees to farmers' accounts under the PM-KISAN scheme.
These reforms have positioned India among the top agricultural exporting nations globally, the Prime Minister remarked.
In closing, Prime Minister Modi delivered an inspiring call to action.
He reiterated his message from the Red Fort, stating that this is the crucial moment to elevate India to unprecedented heights.
"Every individual and institution must strive for excellence, transcending routine efforts to achieve world-class results."
