New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday honored Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, on his birth anniversary, praising his courage and selfless service.
“On this significant Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, I offer my sincere tributes to one of the most profound spiritual leaders of our nation. His life represents courage and compassionate service. He was steadfast in the battle against injustice. May his teachings continue to guide us as we strive to create the society he dreamed of,” PM Modi remarked in a post on X.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also commemorated Guru Tegh Bahadur on his birth anniversary, underscoring the lasting impact of his teachings and sacrifices.
In a heartfelt message on X, HM Shah reflected on the Guru's vital influence in Sikhism, stating, “As the ninth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji made Sikhism synonymous with the defense of self-culture by enlightening society about wrongdoing, injustice, and oppression. Today, on his Prakash Parv, I remember him and pay my respects.
