Patna, Jan 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bhagalpur district on February 24 to launch multiple developmental projects, as announced by Bihar Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey on Friday.

The minister confirmed the arrangements being made to ensure the success of this event.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Union Minister of State for Agriculture visited Patna and Samastipur on Friday to discuss the Prime Minister's forthcoming program. They evaluated the utilization of central government funds in the agricultural sector during the previous financial year and expressed satisfaction with Bihar's effective management of these resources,” Pandey mentioned.

Chauhan suggested that Bihar would see an increase in funding for the agricultural sector in the financial year 2025-26. This announcement reflects the government's commitment to enhancing agricultural growth and supporting farmers in the state,” Pandey remarked. Chauhan instructed officials to prioritize the procurement of pulses and oilseeds, underlining the importance of aiding farmers in boosting production and marketing their outputs.

Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was also involved in the discussions. Minister Pandey expressed appreciation to the central government and Shivraj Singh Chauhan for their unwavering support and direction in fortifying Bihar's agricultural framework.

The visit of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, along with the Prime Minister’s program, is anticipated to greatly benefit Bihar's farmers, leading to enhanced agricultural output and better market prospects. Mangal Pandey firmly countered Tejashwi Yadav's claims regarding a decline in law and order in the state.

Pandey criticized Yadav, recalling incidents from the administrations of his parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, who served as Chief Ministers from 1990 to 2005. He accused Tejashwi Yadav of fabricating allegations about the state’s law and order situation. “During the tenure of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, kidnappings and negotiations with abductors were commonplace at the Chief Minister's residence,” Pandey remarked.

The minister stated that such practices are well-documented in Bihar, adding, “If Tejashwi Yadav makes such statements, it seems like a joke.” Pandey affirmed that under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's leadership, there has been no compromise on the rule of law. He asserted, “Anyone who errs has been penalized,” emphasizing the government's unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order over the last two decades of NDA governance in Bihar.

Regarding the case of jailed Anant Singh, Pandey indicated that it is being addressed by the police but reaffirmed that the government remains steadfast in its principles. He mentioned that the NDA government, under Nitish Kumar, has eliminated the “hooliganism” that characterized Lalu Prasad Yadav's administration and has established the rule of law in the state.
