Patna, Feb 24 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for their steadfast dedication to the progress of Bihar, asserting that the state is evolving from a symbol of despair to a beacon of prosperity.
"The ‘gift of prosperity’ bestowed by PM Modi during the Bhagalpur event will have lasting effects. Bihar is on a trajectory to become the economic engine of Eastern India," Sinha remarked.
Sinha pointed out the remarkable increase in Bihar’s state budget, which has surged from Rs 28,000 crore in 2005 to Rs 3 lakh crore today under the NDA administration.
Moreover, the budget for agriculture has quadrupled in the past decade, underscoring the government’s emphasis on farmers and rural advancement.
"Thanks to the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, Bihar has experienced an extraordinary growth in infrastructure, social welfare, and digital connectivity," he noted.
During his visit to Bhagalpur, PM Modi distributed benefits from the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi to small and marginal farmers, fortifying Bihar's agricultural sector, inaugurated the Agricultural Producer Association of Khagaria to promote agribusiness and rural entrepreneurship, and announced the revival of Vikramshila University, a significant advancement in Bihar's path toward educational excellence.
“The governance model of PM Modi emphasizes development without leakage, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all initiatives. Drawing inspiration from this, Bihar’s state government is implementing an integrated platform for infrastructure development to enhance coordination among departments, guarantee timely project completion, and stimulate industrial and economic growth,” Sinha elaborated.
"Our double-engine government (NDA at both the Centre and the state) is entirely dedicated to advancing Bihar's next phase of industrial development in the coming five years," Sinha affirmed.
