Patna, July 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the groundwork for an impressive array of development projects valued at Rs 7,217 crore during a large rally at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari, reaffirming the Centre’s dedication to transforming Bihar into a developed state.

Emphasizing the motto of “Developed Bihar for a Developed India”, PM Modi asserted that swift progress is achievable due to the collaborative efforts between the Centre and the Bihar government.

He pointed out that during the tenure of the UPA government, Bihar saw only Rs 2 lakh crore in allocations, which he characterized as a form of political revenge against the state.

“In 2014, you entrusted me with the responsibility at the Centre. Since then, I have put an end to this politics of vengeance. In the last 10 years under NDA, the funds allocated for Bihar’s development have increased significantly,” he stated.

PM Modi remarked: “From this land of Bihar, I launched Operation Sindoor, and now, the entire world acknowledges its success. This is a new India ready to go to any extent to hold accountable those who threaten Mother India.”

He highlighted the global advancement of eastern nations, declaring, “Just as these eastern countries are progressing, it is time for India’s eastern states to take the lead in development.”

His vision included making “Motihari as recognized as Mumbai in the west, opportunities in Gaya akin to Gurugram, industrial growth in Patna comparable to Pune, tourism excellence in Jalpaiguri and Jajpur like Jaipur, and developmental advancements in Birbhum similar to Bengaluru.”

Reminding the audience of the state’s past under the RJD-Congress alliance, he stated that corruption and lack of development had plunged Bihar into despair.

“Bihar is a land of heroes who achieve the impossible. You liberated this land from the RJD and Congress, making the impossible possible,” he praised the citizens.

Over the past 11 years, PM Modi noted that more than 4 crore houses have been constructed under the PM Awas Yojana, with 60 lakh houses in Bihar alone, including 3 lakh pucca houses in Motihari.

“Under the RJD-Congress rule, even basic painting of houses was neglected due to eviction fears. Today, the poor are living with dignity in pucca homes,” he remarked.

PM Modi accused Congress and RJD of exploiting the names of the poor, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals for political gains, emphasizing:

“They deny equality and respect to anyone outside their circle. Their arrogance is evident to all of Bihar. We must safeguard Bihar from their malicious intentions,” he urged.

He credited the women of Bihar for the state’s advancements, acknowledging their understanding of the NDA’s initiatives.

“Our vision revolves around Prosperous Bihar and Employment for Every Youth! Significant strides have been made to create employment opportunities for Bihar’s youth within the state,” PM Modi remarked.

Praising Nitish Kumar’s government for its transparent recruitment processes and new employment policies, he confirmed the Centre’s unwavering support.

He declared, “Left Wing Extremism, which has hindered districts like Champaran, Aurangabad, Gaya, and Jamui for years, is now on its last legs. We are resolute in making India entirely free from Naxalism.”

Focusing on Bihar’s economic potential, PM Modi asserted: “Bihar is rich in both strength and resources. We have boosted Makhana prices by connecting farmers to larger markets and are establishing a Makhana Board.”

He also referenced Champaran’s spiritual significance, mentioning the Ram-Janaki Path, which will traverse 70 ghats in Motihari, Kesaria, Chakia, and Madhuban. A new railway line from Sitamarhi to Ayodhya will facilitate devotees' journeys for darshan.
