Patna, June 20 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a significant public gathering in Siwan, proclaimed that Bihar will be instrumental in India's ambition to emerge as the world’s third-largest economy.

PM Modi revealed that the foundation and inauguration of projects totaling Rs 5,736 crores have been accomplished today, which will greatly enhance Bihar's development.

“These initiatives will propel Bihar forward,” he noted, extending his congratulations to the people of the state.

Fresh from his recent international trip, the Prime Minister engaged with the citizens of Bihar, passionately advocating for progress while highlighting both economic victories and political distinctions.

He mentioned that world leaders are beginning to acknowledge India’s ascent on the global platform.

“India is on track to become the third-largest economy, and Bihar will play a significant role in this,” stated the Prime Minister.

PM Modi also launched a fierce critique of the Congress-RJD alliance, asserting that they had relegated Bihar to a state of “migration” and “poverty.”

“The lantern and hand (symbols of RJD and Congress) pushed Bihar into jungle raj… the current youth have only heard of those times in tales,” he remarked.

PM Modi credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government for steering Bihar back onto the path of development.

“In a decade, 55,000 km of rural roads have been constructed, 1.5 crore homes have been electrified, and over 45,000 common service centres have been established,” he elaborated.

He highlighted that more than 57 lakh concrete houses were erected under PMAY in Bihar, with over 1.10 lakh homes built in Siwan district alone, 50,000+ new PMAY installments disbursed today, and 4 crore people across India having escaped poverty in the last decade.

“These houses are not merely four walls; they embody dreams and aspirations,” he emphasized.

PM Modi pointed out that Bihar is on the trajectory of the ‘Make in India’ mission, as the first locomotive manufactured in the Madhaura rail factory was initiated for export to Africa.

“The engine produced in Bihar will now operate trains in Africa… this represents Bihar's new identity,” said PM Modi.

He also underscored the potential for exporting makhana, fruits, vegetables, and manufactured goods from Bihar to global markets.

“I am not one to rest. There is much more to be done for Bihar, for every youth and village here. I will not find peace. I will work tirelessly,” the PM declared with fervor.

He concluded by urging citizens to remain vigilant and prevent the return of ‘jungle raj’, alluding to the RJD-Congress era.

“Those who exploited Bihar are seeking an opportunity to repeat history. Don’t allow them,” the Prime Minister cautioned.
