Heavy police presence has been arranged at the six primary temples dedicated to Lord Murugan in Tamil Nadu, as thousands of devotees gather to commemorate the significant Thaipusam festival.

At Tiruttani and Pazhamudhir Solai, 1,500 police personnel have been deployed to ensure safety and that the Thaipusam festival is celebrated with profound devotion.

This sacred occasion is regarded as a time for spiritual purification, penance, and introspection.
To manage the crowds, darshan tickets have been suspended for three days.
