Ahmedabad, Sep 16 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi approaches his birthday on Wednesday, the online movement #MyModiStory has garnered significant attention, with BJP leaders and supporters sharing personal anecdotes that highlight the Prime Minister's humility, discipline, and his ability to motivate through simple actions.
In a post on X, Gujarat BJP President and Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil reminisced about a moment from when PM Modi was the party's National General Secretary.
During a BJP worker's wedding in Surat, PM Modi was unexpectedly notified of an urgent meeting in Ahmedabad scheduled for the next day, as recounted by the Union Minister.
With no available train reservations at such short notice, attempts were made to secure a seat on the Kutch Express, but all compartments were fully booked.
Rather than expressing discomfort, PM Modi proposed purchasing a general-class ticket. That very night, he traveled in a regular train compartment, completing the long journey to Ahmedabad and arriving punctually for the meeting.
Minister Paatil described this as a “living example” of PM Modi's simplicity, dedication to duty, and his commitment to prioritizing the nation over personal convenience.
In a similar vein, BJP MLA Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja shared her own experience under the hashtag “MyModiStory”.
She highlighted how even the smallest gestures from PM Modi often convey profound lessons and foster personal connections.
Reflecting on a special moment during her daughter's birthday, Rivaba Jadeja expressed how the Prime Minister's thoughtful actions transformed a simple celebration into something extraordinary.
PM Modi praised Rivaba Jadeja's initiative to support underprivileged girls through the Sukanya Samriddhi scheme.
On her daughter Kunwaribashree Nidhyanaba's fifth birthday on June 8, Rivaba Jadeja announced her plan to open 101 Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts at the Jamnagar post office.
The Jadeja couple personally deposited Rs 11,000 in each account, providing a strong financial foundation for 101 girls.
In a letter of appreciation, PM Modi remarked: “It is heartwarming to learn about your gesture of opening 101 Sukanya Samriddhi accounts for 101 girls. Your philanthropic initiative to make initial deposits in every account to celebrate your daughter’s fifth birthday is commendable. May you continue to contribute towards the greater good of society. Such voluntary efforts will send a positive message within the community and inspire everyone.”
A Sukanya Samriddhi Account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs 250, allowing contributions of up to Rs 1.5 lakh annually.
Deposits can be made for a duration of 15 years from the account's opening date.
Once the girl reaches 18 years or completes her Class 10 education, parents may withdraw up to 50% of the balance in a given financial year.
Withdrawals can be made in a single transaction or in installments, with one withdrawal allowed per year for a maximum of five years.
The account matures after 21 years from the opening date or upon the girl’s marriage after turning 18, whichever occurs first.
