New Delhi, Oct 24 (NationPress) In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Bihar, Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, the national spokesperson of Janata Dal (United), emphasized that the Prime Minister’s trips have consistently ushered in “prosperity and progress” for the state.

Speaking to IANS in Patna, Prasad acknowledged PM Modi's transformative impact on Bihar over the past eleven years, claiming it has delivered what the “Congress failed to provide in six decades post-Independence.”

“Currently, projects totaling Rs 1.85 lakh crore, including expressways and highways, are underway in Bihar. The central government's substantial funding for flood management and the global recognition of makhana have significantly boosted Bihar’s economy,” Prasad stated.

He expressed confidence in the NDA’s ambition to elevate Bihar to one of India's top ten developed states by 2030, asserting, “This objective will be reached by 2025-30.”

When questioned about the Mahagathbandhan’s candidates for chief minister and deputy chief minister, Prasad remarked that the opposition is criticizing the NDA’s leadership because they are aware that “the public will not support them.”

Defending Nitish Kumar’s leadership, he said, “For 20 years, people have recognized Nitish Kumar as an honest, clean, and capable leader. No corruption allegations have ever been made against him.”

In contrast to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Prasad noted, “Tejashwi is embroiled in numerous corruption cases, including charges in the IRCTC case and the ongoing ‘land for job’ investigation.”

“There is no chance of RJD or Mahagathbandhan regaining power. They will face a significant defeat. The NDA stands united under Nitish Kumar’s leadership,” he affirmed.

When asked if Nitish Kumar would continue as chief minister if the NDA is victorious, Prasad confirmed, “Yes, Nitish Kumar is the undisputed leader of the NDA in Bihar, and all coalition partners support him.”

Notably, during his rally in Begusarai earlier in the day, PM Modi intensified his critique of the Mahagathbandhan, urging the youth of Bihar to vote wisely to create a prosperous and developed state.

Before addressing Begusarai, PM Modi, while visiting the birthplace of Jannayak Karpoor Thakur, criticized the RJD-Congress for the “jungle raj,” blaming them for pushing the state into darkness.

PM Modi also mocked the divisions and conflicts within the Mahagathbandhan regarding seat-sharing, coining the term ‘Mahalathbadhan’ to suggest that the allies are preoccupied with their own interests instead of addressing public concerns.
