New Delhi, April 30 (NationPress) Leaders from various political parties expressed their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's choice to grant the Indian military unrestricted authority in determining the timing, targets, and strategies for responding to the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the tragic death of 26 civilians.
This pivotal decision was made during a high-level security meeting led by the Prime Minister, attended by key officials including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The Prime Minister's initiative to empower the military with operational freedom received widespread acclaim from numerous political factions, who expressed unwavering trust in the skills and judgment of the Indian armed forces.
O.P. Rajbhar, Uttar Pradesh Minister and National President of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, remarked to IANS, "The citizens have entrusted security to the Prime Minister, and he has made this critical decision. He will undoubtedly fulfill his obligation to ensure the nation's safety."
K.C. Tyagi, a leader from JD-U, shared similar views, highlighting the collective endorsement from all parties for the military’s impending actions.
"The outcome of the Prime Minister's meeting is that the Defence forces have the authority to determine when, where, and how to engage. The entire nation stands united with the Prime Minister in this decision. Every action taken by the military in this context has our backing," he stated.
RJD National Spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari also expressed confidence in the military's readiness to respond effectively.
"India has always believed in the valor of the Defence forces. There is complete trust that our soldiers will avenge the loss of lives. The entire country is anticipating this," he noted.
BJP leader Aparna Yadav emphasized the collective support from the nation towards the Prime Minister and the armed forces.
"The whole nation, including both ruling and Opposition parties, stands with the Prime Minister's decision. The heinous act in Pahalgam, which saw the slaughter of 26 innocent civilians, is utterly condemnable. The Prime Minister has assured strong action, and we believe he will deliver on that promise," she asserted.
