Bengaluru, Jan 23 (NationPress) In a recent statement regarding the power sharing dynamics in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah indicated on Thursday that the ultimate decision will rest with the Congress high command.
Addressing reporters in Bengaluru, in response to inquiries about the supporters of PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi and Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress President D.K. Shivakumar, who organized special ceremonies to pray for their leaders to ascend to the Chief Minister's role, CM Siddaramaiah remarked, "Ultimately, the high command will take a decision regarding everything."
This comment is particularly noteworthy as CM Siddaramaiah had earlier expressed confidence in completing his term as Chief Minister.
Recently, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar reiterated his commitment to his duties while leaving the final decisions to the party.
Shivakumar also firmly stated that there is no existing power-sharing agreement in the state and he will continue to work under CM Siddaramaiah.
When asked about the Karnataka Lokayukta clearing him and his wife in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case, CM Siddaramaiah expressed ignorance about the matter.
Regarding his absence from the Davos Summit, he stated, "I am not attending Davos. The preparation for the budget is essential."
Responding to the BJP's claims about the lack of funding to corporations and boards, CM Siddaramaiah asserted, "The BJP is making false accusations. Their allegations are politically motivated."
Earlier, CM Siddaramaiah honored Subhas Chandra Bose by offering floral tributes during the celebration of his 128th birth anniversary.
After the event, he remarked, "Subhas Chandra Bose left us too soon. He was a remarkable leader devoted to his nation. He passed the ICS exam, which is similar to the IAS today, and dedicated himself to the freedom struggle. He also served as the President of the Congress party on two occasions."
CM Siddaramaiah further elaborated, "The disagreement lay in Bose's belief that attaining independence through non-violence, as promoted by Mahatma Gandhi, was challenging. Consequently, he pursued armed resistance to liberate the British and founded the Indian National Army (INA)."
"We are aware that he met his demise in an airplane crash in Japan. His deep concern for the nation and dream of independence from British rule led to his ultimate sacrifice. The Congress-led government respectfully commemorates him and aims to uphold his principles," CM Siddaramaiah concluded.
"We have paid our respects to Netaji, and we will persist in celebrating his birth anniversary," he affirmed.
