This festival, characterized by grand processions and profound spiritual zeal, is being celebrated with immense devotion throughout various regions in India and among the Indian diaspora abroad.
In a message on social media platform X, President Murmu stated, "On the sacred occasion of Rath Yatra, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the devotees of Lord Jagannath residing in India and abroad. Millions of devotees experience a divine connection through the darshan of the revered deities—Balabhadra, Lord Shri Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra, and Chakraraj Sudarshan—seated on the chariot. The divine portrayal of these sacred forms is the essence of Rath Yatra. On this auspicious day, I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and love to prevail across the globe.
PM Modi also shared his wishes on this occasion, praying for happiness and good health for everyone.
