Chandigarh, Sep 9 (NationPress) Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema expressed strong disapproval of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's financial relief package for the state, labeling it a “cruel joke” for those affected by floods.
He criticized the Central government for the “insignificant and disrespectful” flood relief package that was revealed by Prime Minister Modi following an aerial survey.

The losses endured by our farmers, laborers, impoverished individuals, businesses, and infrastructure amount to tens of thousands of crores, and the Union government has the nerve to propose a meager sum of Rs 1,600 crore,” Cheema asserted.
