Bengaluru, July 11 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, has expressed that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, holds a deep affection for Karnataka, while accusing the BJP of having betrayed the state.
On his social media platform X, CM Siddaramaiah remarked, "Rahul Gandhi possesses immense love for the citizens of Karnataka. He never forgets how Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi were elected from this state, and how Karnataka has supported the Congress Party during critical moments."
According to CM Siddaramaiah, the Gandhi Family, including Rahul Gandhi, feels indebted to the affection received from the people of Karnataka, and he highlighted that our AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge is a proud Kannadiga.
While Rahul Gandhi is focused on fostering positive transformations within Karnataka, he criticized the BJP for allegedly denying the state the funds it rightfully deserves.
“Even during the devastating floods that struck Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained silent. BJP MPs from Karnataka lack the courage to advocate for the rights of Kannadigas. For Modi, Karnataka is merely a point of interest during elections; for Congress, the welfare of Karnataka is a daily commitment,” Siddaramaiah stated.
In light of his recent trip to Delhi, CM Siddaramaiah mentioned, "My main agenda in Delhi was to meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the upcoming Air Show during Dasara in Mysuru."
While Siddaramaiah has assured that he will complete his term, Shivakumar has tended to hold back from making direct comments. Nonetheless, his supporters have been vocal in their desire for him to take on the Chief Minister's role.
The recent visit of Randeep Singh Surjewala to Karnataka and his meetings with MLAs have been interpreted as an attempt to assess opinions concerning the Chief Minister's position.
On the other hand, the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, R. Ashoka, mocked that Siddaramaiah has already taken the “boarding pass” to leave the CM's post.
“There is no doubt about his departure. It’s already determined. I’m not speculating,” he declared.
