Bhopal, Aug 13 (NationPress) The leader of the Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Hemant Khandelwal, asserted on Wednesday that Congress politician Rahul Gandhi's allegations of "voter theft" have ignited a nationwide controversy, labeling it a "deliberate conspiracy aimed at questioning the integrity of India's democracy and the Constitution".
Khandelwal, who became the MP BJP Chief on July 2, expressed during a media interaction that the Congress party should reflect on the reasons behind Gandhi's intentional questioning of the credibility of vital institutions in the country.
He remarked, "What Rahul Gandhi has stated is indeed troubling for all citizens, but it poses an even greater concern for the Congress party itself. The venerable party ought to consider why its leader is casting doubt on every significant institution in our nation?" He shared these thoughts with IANS while visiting Betul.
Directing his criticism at the Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, Khandelwal accused the Congress-led INDIA bloc of "showing disrespect" towards the voters' mandate in the country.
