Raipur, April 14 (NationPress) In a shocking and profoundly troubling case, a three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her thirteen-year-old neighbor in the Civil Lines police station jurisdiction of Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
An official reported that the young girl was found in a critical state and was swiftly taken to a hospital by her family.
“The child is just three years old, but she is stable and receiving treatment. A medical examination will verify whether the sexual assault occurred. The girl was a neighbor of the accused, and their families were from the same community and well acquainted. The child is currently hospitalized and under care,” stated Ajay Kumar, City Superintendent of Police, Civil Lines, Raipur, in a statement to IANS.
“The accused, a thirteen-year-old boy, is now in police custody,” the officer added.
Reports suggest that the girl and the boy frequently played together as their families lived near each other. On Monday, she was sleeping beside her mother when the boy invited her to play.
