Mumbai, June 14 (NationPress) The chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Raj Thackeray, has addressed his party workers and supporters in a letter, urging them not to gather at his residence, Shivtirth, located at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park in Dadar, to celebrate his birthday on June 14 since he will be away from Mumbai with his family.
Instead, he encouraged his party members to honor his birthday by engaging in acts of goodwill for the community, assuring them that he would meet them soon.
"I cannot meet you on June 14, my birthday, as I will be out of Mumbai with my family. You may wonder why I am not celebrating my birthday. I assure you, there is no specific reason behind this. So, let's not read too much into it. I will not be able to meet you on June 14," stated Raj Thackeray in his correspondence.
He added, "For many years, you have traveled from various parts of Maharashtra to celebrate my birthday. While I may not get to converse with you on that day, the sight of you all is invigorating. The love I have received from you is my greatest treasure, and I will always remain grateful for it."
He further remarked, "Let’s work together to create a flourishing Maharashtra."
Recently, Raj Thackeray has been in the spotlight regarding discussions of a potential alliance with his estranged cousin, Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), ahead of the forthcoming elections for the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation.
Interestingly, Uddhav Thackeray mentioned last week, "Whatever Maharashtra desires will come to fruition." While he refrained from sharing more details, he promised to reveal significant news soon.
"I have conveyed a succinct message. We are analyzing all aspects related to this matter. I assure you that we will not just relay messages but will share concrete updates. There’s no ambiguity among my Shiv Sainiks. Thus, instead of mere messages, we will provide the information that is needed," Uddhav Thackeray commented.
His remarks followed a statement from Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, who indicated that there may have been a phone conversation between Raj and Uddhav regarding a potential alliance.
