New Delhi/Jaipur, March 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, engaged in a series of strategic discussions in Delhi on Wednesday aimed at the comprehensive growth of the state and enhancing collaboration between the Central and state governments.

Sharma held thorough dialogues with Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, centering on crucial topics concerning energy and urban advancement. Aligned with the goal of ‘Viksit Rajasthan 2047’, they explored opportunities for expanding renewable energy initiatives, fortifying infrastructure, and assessing the feasibility of linking Rajasthan to the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

In a separate crucial meeting, Sharma conferred with Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. Their talks concentrated on the development of a new terminal at Jaipur International Airport and conducting feasibility studies for new airports in the Bharatpur-Deeg and Sikar-Jhunjhunu areas.

Additionally, he met with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, focusing on expediting the execution of public welfare initiatives and advancing the state's overall progress.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of maintaining flight connectivity to major tourist hotspots in Rajasthan. He put forth proposals aimed at improving air connectivity in Manpur (Abu Road) and Banswara, alongside a broader initiative for the extensive growth of the civil aviation sector in the region.

These discussions reflect the state government's dedication to bolstering infrastructure development and enhancing connectivity across various sectors, as noted by officials.

Earlier that day, the Chief Minister also had a significant meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking their second interaction within the month.

The Prime Minister’s Office shared a brief post on its X account stating: “Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, had a meeting with the Prime Minister today.”

During this meeting, the Chief Minister presented a sandalwood idol of Goddess Durga to the Prime Minister.

This meeting has garnered attention against the backdrop of ongoing global events, marking the second engagement between the two leaders in recent weeks.

Previously, the Chief Minister met the Prime Minister during his visit to Ajmer on February 28, where he sought the Prime Minister’s insights on the comprehensive progress of Rajasthan and the effective execution of various public welfare programs.

Sharma remarked that the Prime Minister’s guidance and leadership continue to steer efforts toward building a thriving Rajasthan.

He further stressed that the Prime Minister’s unwavering support for the people of Rajasthan, combined with his forward-thinking vision, serves as a vital asset for the state. With this support, Rajasthan is making consistent strides across various development sectors. Motivated by this approach, the citizens are determined to realize the vision of a ‘Developed Rajasthan’.

During their meeting, Chief Minister Sharma gifted the Prime Minister a sandalwood idol of Goddess Durga, crafted by a talented artisan from Jaipur, Mohit Jangid.
