Jaipur, Nov 13 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made a significant visit to Delhi on Thursday, engaging in vital discussions with three Union Ministers to propel Rajasthan’s development agenda.

During the visit, he met with Union Minister of Energy, Housing, and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Paatil, and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary.

The Chief Minister deliberated on significant projects concerning urban development, energy, water management, and skill enhancement, with the aim of reinforcing Rajasthan’s infrastructure and the potential of its youth through central support.

In his meeting with Union Minister Manohar Lal, CM Sharma evaluated power and urban infrastructure initiatives.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Energy were present during the discussions.

The focus was on enhancing power evacuation systems, given that Rajasthan possesses immense potential to support India’s solar energy targets.

Officials disclosed that for the benefit of farmers, the tower base compensation rate has been increased to 400% of the DLC rate, while corridor compensation has been established at 30% in rural areas, 45% in municipal regions, and 60% in municipal corporation zones.

The meeting also noted that AT&C losses are gradually decreasing, with Jaipur and Ajmer Discoms now below 15%. The implementation of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) is also progressing well.

Additionally, CM Sharma discussed the approval of the DPR for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro, which will further improve connectivity and urban mobility in the state capital.

In his meeting with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil, CM Sharma reviewed advancements on the Ferozepur Feeder Relining Project and the Ram Jal Setu Link Project. They also covered topics such as water supply, water harvesting, and sustainable water management solutions across Rajasthan.

The Union Minister praised the success of the state’s “Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi” initiative which aims to foster public involvement in development projects.

Subsequently, CM Sharma met with Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary to explore opportunities for positioning Rajasthan as a national center for skill development and entrepreneurship.

Both leaders discussed collaborative initiatives to enhance employability and align training programs with industry demands.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s commitment to empowering its youth and cultivating a skilled workforce that contributes to India’s growth vision.
