New Delhi/Jaipur, July 28 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma conducted a series of meetings with important Union Ministers during his official trip to New Delhi on Monday. The discussions revolved around various sectors including agriculture, rural development, energy, housing, and water-related projects in the state.

During these meetings, he engaged with Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Energy, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, and Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil to assess the progress of central schemes and request support for ongoing as well as proposed projects in Rajasthan.

At Krishi Bhawan, the Chief Minister had an extensive conversation with Shivraj Chouhan on various topics, including rural development, agriculture, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, and the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana.

He expressed appreciation to the Union Ministry for disbursing Rs 4,384 crore to Rajasthan under the MNREGA scheme for the current financial year.

CM Sharma also sought central assistance for appointing Agricultural Supervisors at the Gram Panchayat level, enhancing improved groundnut varieties, and promoting the castor oil industry in Rajasthan. He highlighted successful initiatives such as “Per Drop – More Crop”, Diggi construction, and field fencing in regions like Bassi, Jaipur.

On the housing aspect, the Chief Minister underscored the state’s achievements under PMAY-Gramin. Shri Chouhan commended the efforts and promised that once the survey data verification is complete, approvals for more houses will be issued. He also announced that under PM-Janman Yojana, 7.46 lakh houses will be built in Rajasthan.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary, Agriculture Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi, Rural Development Secretary Shailesh Singh, ICAR Director General Dr. M.L. Jat, along with senior officials from both the Centre and Rajasthan were present.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister met Manohar Lal Khattar.

Discussions revolved around renewable energy, urban development, and housing projects. Sharma requested central assistance to fortify interstate transmission systems, enhance renewable energy infrastructure, and expedite the implementation of Jaipur Metro Phase-2 and e-bus services in urban locales.

The Chief Minister also met Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil at his official residence.

He briefed the Minister about the advancements in the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, aimed at improving irrigation and drinking water availability in Rajasthan.

Emphasizing the positive impact of the current year's favorable monsoon, he stated that the state’s reservoirs are already full. He also pointed out that initiatives like Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi and Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan will play a crucial role in enhancing groundwater levels in the state.
