Jaipur, Feb 13 (NationPress) To improve facilities for farmers and traders, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved administrative and financial allocations for development projects exceeding Rs 24 crore across various Krishi Upaj Mandi Samitis in the state.

As part of this initiative, more than Rs 7.27 crore has been allocated for upgrading infrastructure within the Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti locations of Lalsot, Bhawanimandi, Deoli, and Kotputli.

Moreover, a funding of Rs 16.73 crore has been designated for the construction of access roads in Lunkaransar, Srikaranpur, Bikaner (Grain), Pugal Road (Grain), Khajuwala, Shrimadhopur, Nokha, Sridungargarh, and Padampur Mandi Samitis.

The sanctioned funds are expected to significantly enhance market infrastructure, providing modern amenities to both traders and farmers. Improved road connections will facilitate better access, minimize travel time, and reduce fuel expenses for farmers transporting their agricultural goods.

Previously, Chief Minister Sharma addressed another initiative, stating that the state government aims to double the state's economy.

He noted that both the government and the private sector are investing in numerous areas of the state. His administration is strategically working across all sectors to boost investments.

While speaking at the Genpact Global Meet, the Chief Minister congratulated Genpact on reaching two decades of operation. He highlighted that out of approximately 8,000 employees at Genpact in Jaipur and Jodhpur, over 90 percent are locals, emphasizing the significant contributions of the entire ecosystem to employment generation in the state.

Furthermore, Genpact has plans to create thousands of jobs by investing in the Rising Rajasthan Summit. The identification of land for this project has been completed, with full cooperation from the state government to swiftly implement it.

The Chief Minister indicated that the state government is executing major projects focused on ease of doing business, along with models like Invit and HAM.

“We have already signed MoUs worth more than Rs 35 lakh crore during the Rising Rajasthan Summit held in the inaugural year,” he stated.

The government has introduced new policies such as the Data Center Policy, AVGC-XR Policy, and Rajasthan Investment Promotion to facilitate investor convenience.

Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, the information technology and related sectors have been designated as a thrust sector to encourage further investment.

Sharma noted that the state government has increased its capital expenditure by over 65 percent in its first budget.

“Our administration is dedicated to further enhancing investments in infrastructure,” he asserted. He also mentioned collaborations with various companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, and Adobe.

Through these collaborations, quality training is being offered to a significant number of interested youth. New policies have been introduced to bolster development across various economic sectors like mining, tourism, textile, and apparel. He urged investors to fully leverage the policies instituted by the state government and invest in the region.

Sharma emphasized that Rajasthan is the largest state in India, with vast potential across numerous sectors. In the energy domain, the state government has signed MoUs with various central government companies for investments exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore.

To enhance water availability in the state, work orders valued at around Rs 10 thousand crore have been issued following an MoA with Madhya Pradesh and the central government through the Ramjal Setu Link Project.

He also mentioned that to boost groundwater recharge, unprecedented work is being carried out through initiatives like the Atal Ground Water Scheme, Chief Minister Water Self-Reliance Campaign, and Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi.
