Jaipur, July 4 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary and impactful foreign policy, asserting that it has granted India a renewed identity on the global stage.
He remarked that through his diplomatic finesse and robust leadership, Prime Minister Modi has positioned India among the most influential and respected nations globally.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the extraordinary achievements of Indian talents worldwide have showcased India’s strength and potential.
Speaking at the 12th ‘Bharat Gaurav Award’ ceremony, organized by the Sanskruti Yuva Sanstha at the House of Commons in the UK Parliament, via video conferencing from his residence in Jaipur late Thursday night, he noted that the event not only honors distinguished Indians, but also symbolizes the deep and friendly ties between India and the UK.
Emphasizing Rajasthan’s swift development, the Chief Minister stated that the state, renowned for its rich culture, hospitality, and historical legacy, is crafting a new chapter of progress through the “Rising Rajasthan” initiative.
The CM mentioned that investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore have unlocked vast opportunities for employment and prosperity in the state. Over the past one and a half years, Rajasthan has experienced unprecedented advancement in investment, innovation, and inclusive growth.
CM Sharma underlined that Rajasthan possesses enormous potential for growth, particularly in sectors such as mining, tourism, and industry.
He spoke about significant advancements in education and healthcare, adding that tourists from around the globe are attracted to the state’s palaces, forts, and havelis. Religious tourism, wildlife sanctuaries, and desert destinations are also undergoing steady growth. The Chief Minister encouraged overseas Indians to return, invest in Rajasthan, and play an active role in its development. Their contributions, he asserted, would not only expedite the state’s progress but also bolster India’s position as a global leader.
Congratulating the award recipients, the Chief Minister stated that the Bharat Gaurav Award symbolizes India’s unity, boundless potential, and growing influence on the world stage.
At the event, 25 individuals from India and abroad were honored with citation letters, mementoes, and ceremonial scarves. The prestigious ceremony witnessed participation from representatives of 18 countries.
Present at the event were dignitaries including London MP Navendu Mishra, former UK Union Minister and House of Lords member Baroness Sandip Verma, House of Lords member Rami Ranger, former Mayor of London Sunil Chopra, former MP Virendra Sharma, Prayag Maha Kumbh advisor Rakesh K.
