Jaipur, Nov 12 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Congress held a flag-hoisting ceremony and a training session in Jaipur to celebrate the conclusion of the “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” signature campaign in the state this Wednesday.
The gathering also featured a training program under the Systematic Identification and Removal (SIR) initiative led by the Election Commission aimed at curbing vote theft.
Attendees included State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully, AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot, former State President CP Joshi, BD Kalla, and various Congress MPs, MLA candidates, district presidents, and Assembly coordinators.
In his address, Dotasra accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to manipulate votes nationwide to gain power, a practice that has been repeatedly exposed by Rahul Gandhi during the elections in Haryana, Maharashtra, and the Lok Sabha.
He claimed that the BJP was misusing the SIR process to strip voting rights from the poor, Dalits, and minorities, especially in Bihar.
Dotasra announced that the Congress has appointed Booth Level Executives (BLEs) at all 52,439 polling booths in Rajasthan to ensure that no voter is left without their voting rights.
He encouraged party members to go door-to-door, verify voter information, and aid new voters with their enrollment.
In reference to the upcoming Anta Assembly by-election, he accused the BJP of using police intimidation to undermine Congress operations but assured that Congress members would thwart the BJP's strategies.
Dotasra highlighted that over 15 lakh individuals across Rajasthan have signed the memorandum associated with the “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” initiative, which will be submitted to the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
He also declared that a major rally is scheduled in New Delhi during the last week of November to conclude the campaign.
Former CM Ashok Gehlot, AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully, and C.P. Joshi also shared their thoughts at the gathering.
State Congress General Secretary and Media Incharge Swarnim Chaturvedi mentioned that the signatures collected from all districts were presented during the meeting.
The AICC War Room trainers led a PowerPoint session for all Assembly coordinators.
Additionally, each coordinator received a list of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for their constituencies and were instructed to meet with their teams within three days to share training details.
