Jaipur, July 5 (NationPress) A collaborative meeting of state Congress, assembly coordinators, and district leaders took place on Saturday at the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) Headquarters in Jaipur, presided over by State President Govind Singh Dotasra.
During the event, Congress Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa remarked, “With responsibility comes accountability. Any official who is found lacking in their responsibilities will be dismissed from their role.”
Randhawa urged all district and assembly leaders to carry out their responsibilities with courage and remain attuned to ground realities. A comprehensive review of organizational challenges and the ongoing Organization Empowerment Campaign was conducted during the meeting.
Several important suggestions and directives were provided to the party workers and coordinators in attendance. In his address, Dotasra instructed all state in-charges to promptly visit their designated districts and hold meetings of District and Block Congress Committees.
He also called on all district presidents to arrange extended executive meetings and devise a thorough strategy for accurately revising voter lists. He stressed that all ongoing work related to BLA (Booth Level Agent) appointments must be finalized within a week.
“Considering the BJP government's history of tampering with voter lists in Maharashtra, Haryana, and recently Bihar, we need to stay alert and ensure clean and fair electoral rolls in Rajasthan,” he cautioned.
Dotasra also advocated for organizing meetings of extended District and Block Congress Committees within the next five days to mobilize protests against the BJP government's purported infringement of the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments.
“These amendments, introduced by former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi, mandate that elections for local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions occur every five years. The BJP government is conspiring to postpone these elections,” he stated.
He accused the state government of intentionally establishing the OBC Commission after 18 months in power, using the pending OBC report as an excuse to delay elections.
“This is a deliberate strategy to evade grassroots accountability. Congress will initiate a state-wide mass movement to counter any such attempts,” he proclaimed.
AICC Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa commended the RPCC for establishing a strong organizational framework at the grassroots level.
“Congress in Rajasthan is recognized nationwide today for its organizational prowess. Full credit goes to Dotasra and his team,” he noted.
Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully praised the assembly coordinators for their contributions to organizational growth. He encouraged them to consistently inform the PCC about local issues.
“Issues pertinent to the organization will be addressed by the PCC, while those suitable for legislative discussion will be raised in the assembly to challenge the BJP,” he mentioned.
Co-in-charge Ritwik Makwana and Chiranji Rao also spoke at the gathering, stressing the necessity for a unified strategy at both district and assembly levels.
A subsequent vital meeting of the State Congress Coordination Committee was convened at the PCC War Room. The discussions focused on the construction of the new RPCC building and preparations for the upcoming municipal and Panchayati Raj elections.
