What Emergency Measures Are Being Implemented in Rajasthan?

Jaipur, May 10 (NationPress) In response to the rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border, officials in Rajasthan have implemented a range of urgent measures aimed at safeguarding public safety and ensuring law and order.

A total prohibition on the use of firecrackers and the operation of drones has been enforced in Jaipur, especially during weddings and public events.

This directive was issued by Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Rameshwar Singh, who pointed to increased security concerns. Adjustments have also been made at Jaipur Junction railway station, where several entry and exit points have been shut, including the gate adjacent to the DRM office.

Access will now only be granted through Parshuram Circle. Additionally, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) will conduct daily mock drills at major railway stations from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In Chomu, local authorities have instructed shopkeepers to close markets by 8 p.m. and have extended the restrictions on firecrackers and drone flights.

Pradeep Sharma, the police station in-charge, confirmed that heightened surveillance is being conducted at sensitive areas, and disaster relief resources are being mobilized. To address possible threats, two detention centers have been set up in Jaipur.

Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph has mandated all station in-charges to stay vigilant and keep a close watch on outsiders.

Strict verification protocols have been established, with immediate legal actions to be taken against individuals with suspicious documents or identities.

Due to escalating concerns, all government and private schools, as well as Anganwadis in Nagaur, have been closed until further notice.

The Hanumangarh District Collector has ordered the shutdown of schools, Anganwadis, and coaching centers starting tomorrow. In Pali district, the administration has commandeered 36 private hospitals for emergency purposes, as ordered by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO).

Furthermore, the National Lok Adalat, set for Saturday in Jodhpur, Barmer, and Bikaner, has been postponed.

Rail services from Bikaner to Jaisalmer have been halted for the past two days and will remain suspended. Trains canceled until Sunday include Train 54760 – Suratgarh to Sriganganagar, Train 04770 – Sriganganagar to Hanumangarh, and Train 04778 – Hanumangarh to Sadulpur.

In a notable incident, two young men have been apprehended in Gharsana for disseminating sensitive military movement information via social media.

Officials have underscored that such actions will face stringent consequences under applicable security laws. Authorities are urging citizens to remain calm, adhere to official directives, and refrain from circulating unverified information. The situation is being closely observed across all districts, according to officials.
