Jaipur, Dec 29 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Leader of the Opposition, Tika Ram Jully, has expressed his approval of the stay order from the Hon’ble Supreme Court regarding the definition of the Aravalli mountain range.
Dubbed a significant triumph for the collective efforts of the populace and environmental conservation, Jully noted that this ruling arrives at a pivotal moment as public discontent over illegal mining activities surges throughout the state.
He emphasized that the Aravalli Range represents the crown jewel of Rajasthan, safeguarding the state’s identity and security.
“It is regrettable that the mining mafia, under the leadership of the BJP government, is striving to obliterate this jewel and reduce it to mere dust,” he remarked.
Jully elaborated that the ‘Save Aravalli Public Awareness Campaign’ commenced on Saturday with a march and protest in Alwar, as citizens, activists, and members of the Congress party voiced their dissent across various regions of the state.
The Supreme Court’s ruling on Monday, which issued a stay on its earlier decision, reinforces and bolsters this public movement, he added.
He delivered a stern warning, asserting that any attempt to sell off ‘Mother Aravali’ or to endanger the Sariska Tiger Reserve will be met with zero tolerance.
“For us, the Aravalli is more than just a mountain; it embodies a maternal figure. The people of Alwar and Rajasthan will never forgive those who endeavor to sell off Mother Aravalli,” he stated.
He vowed that the fight will persist until the Aravalli range is thoroughly protected.
Jully expressed his belief that the Supreme Court will soon render a landmark and conclusive judgment favoring the preservation of this ancient mountain range.
Reaffirming his dedication, he declared that Sariska is the “crown of Alwar” and will be preserved at all costs, asserting that firm action will be taken against anyone attempting to jeopardize the ecological integrity of Sariska or the Aravali landscape.
With the Supreme Court's intervention, Jully stated, the public's voice has gained strength, and the determination to safeguard Rajasthan's natural heritage has become even more resolute.
