Gandhinagar, April 16 (NationPress) Personnel from the Rajasthan Police have successfully earned professional capacity-building teaching certificates after undergoing a comprehensive 50-hour training program at the Gujarat campus of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) as part of the 'Mission Karmayogi' initiative.
This training, which took place from April 6 to 16, 2026, under the banner of 'Mission Karmayogi – Gujarat', was designed to enhance the professional competencies and community engagement skills of police officers.
The university stated, “This initiative is a component of the 'National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building under Mission Karmayogi', in line with the extensive administrative reform vision led by the Prime Minister.”
A closing ceremony was conducted on Thursday at the RRU Gujarat campus, where participants received their certificates upon fulfilling the program's requirements, which included 100 hours of structured activities.
Attendees at the ceremony included Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor of RRU; Lt. (Dr.) Ruchika Singla, Director of the School of Internal Security and Smart Policing (SISSP); Kamal Singh, Assistant Director (Project), SISSP; as well as various faculty members and university officials.
Prof. Wandra, addressing the audience, emphasized the significance of ongoing police interaction with the community. He spoke about the aim to encourage personnel to dedicate 100 hours each year to teaching, training, or engaging with universities, NGOs, and citizen groups.
“Such programs are essential for building public confidence and enhancing the relationship between the police and the community,” he remarked.
Lt. (Dr.) Ruchika Singla congratulated the Rajasthan Police officers and the RRU team for the successful conclusion of the program. She highlighted that the 10-day training comprised interactive workshops and sessions aimed at bolstering outreach to youth, NGOs, and rural communities, focusing on enhanced communication and collaboration between police personnel and the public.
During the training, officers from the Rajasthan Police, specializing in various fields, delivered lectures and shared real-world experiences with students, faculty, and community members.
