Jaipur, Nov 26 (NationPress) The State Games Athletics 2025 for Special Athletes wrapped up successfully at the Jaipur Military Station, heralding a significant milestone in Rajasthan’s journey towards inclusive sports.
Co-organized by Sapta Shakti AWWA and the Special Olympics Bharat-Rajasthan Chapter, this event was a pioneering effort aimed at cultivating a society rooted in dignity, compassion, and equal opportunity.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Diya Kumari, the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, along with notable figures such as Mallika Nadda, President of Special Olympics Bharat, and Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the Sapta Shakti Command.
The Championship kicked off with a vibrant march past featuring special athletes from 20 districts, accompanied by NCC cadets. The atmosphere was filled with pride as drum beats echoed across the parade ground, while students from Army Public School, Jaipur performed a traditional Rajasthani dance, showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage.
Overall, 247 specially-abled athletes from across the state exhibited their skills in seven track and field events. A notable feature was a thorough medical and health assessment camp conducted by specialists from the Military Hospital, Jaipur.
