Jaipur, Oct 29 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Education Department is set to hold a massive parent-teacher meeting (PTM) in all government schools throughout the state on October 31. This initiative aims to enhance communication between educators and parents, as well as to assess students' academic progress, attendance, and behavior, as stated by officials on Wednesday.
The meeting will commence at 10 a.m. simultaneously in every government school, as part of the 'Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyan 2.0'. This initiative emphasizes community engagement in education and aims to elevate the quality of learning outcomes.
Officials revealed that the PTM will enable parents to gain insights into their children's academic performance, discipline, and attendance. In turn, teachers will share effective strategies to improve student learning.
Additionally, a Sri Krishna Bhog will be organized in schools under the mid-day meal program, where parents are encouraged to contribute on special occasions such as their children’s birthdays, parents’ wedding anniversaries, or other significant events. This involvement fosters a sense of ownership and participation in school activities.
The Education Department highlighted that the Bhog aims to strengthen the connection between parents and schools while encouraging new parents to enroll their children in government institutions.
Teachers are urged to utilize this occasion to promote school enrollment and enhance community ties. Officials have issued guidelines for organizing the Sri Krishna Bhog in accordance with the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
According to the state government's directive, the Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyan 2.0, launched on September 5 to bolster basic literacy and numeracy, will run until December 5.
In light of this, heads of institutions have been directed to organize the Sri Krishna Bhog in large numbers to foster community involvement and increase parental engagement in education.
During the Mega PTM, cultural performances, debates, essay writing, painting, and poster or slogan competitions will also take place in schools.
An exhibition showcasing student achievements will display learning outcomes, exam performances, and creative works.
Teachers will provide parents with insights into future academic plans and educational objectives.
This event coincides with National Unity Day on October 31, commemorating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary.
All participants will take the National Unity Pledge, and short films promoting national integration and social harmony will be screened to instill the values of unity and diversity among students.
