Rajasthan Unveils Extensive Investment Opportunities in Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare: Minister

Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar stated on Tuesday that the state possesses immense potential for investments in the pharmaceutical sector, medical equipment production, and healthcare services.

The government is committed to establishing a solid framework aimed at attracting and facilitating these investments.

He underscored that incorporating information technology into healthcare services via public-private partnerships will mark a revolutionary advancement.

Minister Khimsar made these comments while leading the session entitled "Future Care: Transforming Health Care through Innovation" at the Rising Rajasthan event on Tuesday.

He pointed out that the vision of Ayushman Bharat is being fulfilled under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In addition, he accentuated that under the insightful leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan is progressing with an innovative mindset and a pledge to improve healthcare.

The main objective of the state is to ensure that healthcare services are accessible, affordable, and available to everyone.

The Minister also touched upon the evolution of medical tourism in Rajasthan, mentioning that esteemed institutions like Sawai Man Singh Medical College and AIIMS are already situated in the state.

Efforts are being made to set up medical and nursing colleges in every district, according to Minister Khimsar.

Moreover, he elaborated on initiatives such as the 24-storey Ayushman Tower, Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, and Maa Voucher Yojana.

He remarked that Rajasthan's affordable and quality healthcare services have established it as a hub for medical value tourism, further bolstered by the state's Medical Value Travel Policy.

He urged for increased investment in the state, asserting that such investments would not only enhance healthcare but also aid in Rajasthan's overall progress, fostering both health and prosperity.

State Chief Secretary Gayatri Rathore emphasized Rajasthan's notable advancements in decreasing maternal and infant mortality rates.

She mentioned that the state is concentrating on digital improvements, policy modifications, and the broadening of healthcare accessibility, along with prevention and personal care.

She also provided an update on the initiatives to position Rajasthan as a medical tourism destination.

The session commenced with an opening address by Pankaj Bhardwaj, head of the Public School of Health at AIIMS Jodhpur, who also moderated the session.
