Jaipur, Oct 4 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Prem Chand Bairwa, declared on Saturday that the state has consistently championed innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Rajasthan has long been a place that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. The policies of our government and the well-resourced startup ecosystem are significantly contributing to the empowerment of entrepreneurs,” remarked the Deputy Chief Minister during the groundbreaking ceremony for the nation’s largest continuous waste-to-energy tyre recycling facility.

He highlighted that under the Rising Rajasthan initiative, with acknowledgment from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)’s innovation programs, startup Regrip exemplifies how state-driven industrial policies can have a beneficial influence at the national level.

The project was inaugurated alongside investor, Bollywood actor, and sustainability champion Suniel Shetty; CEO, Tushar Suhalka; and Director, Mahavir Sharma.

Bairwa emphasized that the establishment of the country’s largest tyre recycling facility by Regrip is not merely a groundbreaking move towards environmental sustainability, but also positions Rajasthan at the forefront of India's tyre-to-energy transformation.

This initiative represents a crucial step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Swachh Bharat and a Viksit Bharat.

Actor Suniel Shetty mentioned, “Tyre waste is one of India’s most significant blind spots in sustainability. Our facility is paving the way with scale, technology, and impact. Our project is not only an initiative - it’s a declaration of how India can convert waste into opportunity.”

CEO Tushar Suhalka remarked, “We take pride in Rajasthan leading the way by hosting the nation’s largest licensed continuous pyrolysis plant, establishing a model that can be replicated across India.”

Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Suniel Shetty, CEO Tushar Suhalka, and Director Mahavir Sharma held a press conference to discuss their plant’s vision and the importance of this venture.

They asserted that by integrating collection infrastructure, digital technology, and recycling facilities, their plant is constructing a nationwide cleantech network that addresses the tyre waste crisis at scale, generates green energy and materials, supports EPR compliance for tyre manufacturers, and positions India as a global leader in circular economy solutions. They noted that the company has set a vision for 2035 to make India tyre-neutral and a world frontrunner in sustainable tyre recycling.

This facility will not just be a point of pride for Rajasthan - it signifies a national achievement, placing the state at the vanguard of India’s circular economy journey concerning tyre waste, they concluded.
