New Delhi, June 16 (NationPress) On the day Cyprus bestowed its highest civilian accolade upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya lauded the Indian leader's growing global recognition and termed his 23 Global Honours as a testament to the nation's rising international stature.
Malviya, who heads the BJP’s National Information and Technology Department, took to social media to commemorate PM Modi’s latest accolade and remarked, “No Prime Minister of India has ever made such a significant global impression.”
“This is not merely about a single leader - it symbolizes the ascent of India’s economic might, strategic clarity, and diplomatic confidence in the international arena. None of this would have been achievable without the steadfast trust of 140 crore Indians in Prime Minister Modi’s stewardship,” he articulated on X.
He further emphasized the transformation in India's diplomatic approach that has compelled the world to recognize its potential.
“For the first time, India’s foreign policy is unreservedly India First — clear-headed, assured, and consistent. The world is not just observing; it is recognizing and respecting this new India,” he added.
Since 2016, Malviya outlined the 23 global accolades awarded to PM Modi over the previous decade. From Saudi Arabia’s Order of King Abdulaziz in 2016 to the UAE’s Order of Zayed Award in 2019, he also underscored the US government’s Legion of Merit awarded to PM Modi in 2020.
PM Modi’s Global Honours list also features Bhutan’s Order of the Druk Gyalpo in 2021 and Egypt’s Order of the Nile, alongside France’s Grand Cross of the Legion and Greece’s Grand Cross of the Order of Honour, all received in 2023.
Among the accolades PM Modi received last year were Russia’s Order of St. Andrew the Apostle, Kuwait’s Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer, along with honors from Guyana, Barbados, Nigeria, and Dominica.
The recognition from Cyprus marks the third international award for him this year. Previously, Sri Lanka awarded the PM its highest civilian honor, The Mitra Vibhushana, and Mauritius honored him with The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean.
Earlier, PM Modi accepted the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the highest civilian honor from Cyprus, during a bilateral meeting with President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia.
