New Delhi, April 7 (NationPress) As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi prepares for his visit to Bihar on Monday, Tanweer Hassan, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), voiced his apprehensions regarding possible miscommunications within the INDI alliance. He highlighted Gandhi's decision to attend Kanhaiya Kumar's rally without prior consultation with Tejashwi Yadav.

In an interview with IANS, Hassan remarked that Gandhi should have reached out to RJD's Tejashwi Yadav before participating in the rally. He stated, “Certainly, we acknowledge that Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the INDI alliance, and it is his duty to ensure that all 'Gathbandhan parties' are aligned and in agreement. He should have discussed this with Tejashwi Yadav beforehand. I believe he is making an error here.”

When discussing the purpose of Kanhaiya Kumar's rally, which aims to broaden his party's reach, Hassan explained that rallies have long been a staple of political engagement. He pointed out that the RJD is renowned for hosting significant Maha rallies in Bihar.

“Rallies have always been a part of the political landscape. Every party has orchestrated rallies, and the RJD is particularly known for its major events in Bihar. Whenever the RJD calls for a Maha rally, it draws considerable attention. Thus, Kanhaiya Kumar's rally won’t markedly differ from this tradition,” Hassan noted.

He further elaborated, “With Kanhaiya Kumar's rally, the aim is to augment the party's organizational framework. That is why they are placing Kanhaiya Kumar in the spotlight and allowing him to lead in Bihar.”

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Bihar on Monday, where he will attend the “Stop Migration, Give Jobs (Palayan roko naukari do)” march spearheaded by Kanhaiya Kumar, a former JNU student leader.

In response to inquiries about Kanhaiya Kumar's past electoral defeats, Hassan remarked that winning and losing are integral to the political journey. “There is no definitive reason for an electoral loss. Winning and losing are two facets of the same coin. Those who contest elections must accept both outcomes without placing blame,” he explained.

When questioned if Kanhaiya Kumar's actions might undermine the 'Mahagathbandhan', Hassan disagreed. “He is not diminishing the Mahagathbandhan. His goal is to fortify his party. The extent of his impact will unfold in time. However, his campaigning is focused on strengthening his party,” he clarified.

Regarding Rahul Gandhi's impending visit to Begusarai for Kanhaiya Kumar's rally, Hassan acknowledged the situation but reaffirmed the necessity for unity among the Mahagathbandhan parties.

“We recognize that the RJD is a significant party in Bihar. Under Tejashwi Yadav's guidance, we are leading a substantial campaign. Nonetheless, Rahul Gandhi is a prominent leader of the Mahagathbandhan and should ensure that other parties within the alliance are also involved,” he remarked.

Hassan stressed that such actions could lead to misunderstandings within the alliance, stating, “This is an election year. Elections are approaching, and activities like these can exacerbate misunderstandings. There is no need for increased discord; rather, we should be united under one banner.”
