New Delhi, April 12 (NationPress) In a pivotal moment for the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), several prominent leaders and social activists from various states joined the party on Saturday, significantly enhancing its national footprint.
The new members were officially welcomed by RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary, who presented them with the party’s emblematic scarf and extended his best wishes for their political endeavors.
Chaudhary expressed his enthusiasm for the new members, stating: “Leaders and ministers from various states have come to join RLD, bringing along extensive political experience. I welcome them all. Together, we will uphold the legacy of Chaudhary Charan Singh ji.”
The RLD leader also highlighted the party’s dedication to constitutional values and inclusive politics. “This nation belongs to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Drawing inspiration from his life, we are committed to advancing the party's mission with unwavering dedication,” he remarked.
Coinciding with the celebration of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, Chaudhary initiated a six-month-long membership campaign, set to continue until October 15.
“We believed that there is no better day than April 14 to commence this initiative. Babasaheb was not merely a leader for SC/STs - he was a true nation-builder,” he noted.
Throughout this period, RLD activists will engage in door-to-door outreach to connect with citizens and recruit new members nationwide.
Chaudhary reaffirmed his support for the BJP-led NDA alliance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“There is a growing confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi across the country. As Home Minister Amit Shah recently indicated, even Telangana will witness an NDA government in the future,” Chaudhary stated.
In response to inquiries regarding the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, an alleged perpetrator in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Chaudhary criticized the Congress party for its stance. “The Congress party lacks fundamental understanding and information. Rather than acknowledging such a significant achievement, they are making unfounded claims,” he asserted.
Chaudhary also pointed out that India is steadily progressing under Modi's leadership.
“In a world filled with chaos, India has emerged as a stable and respected nation. Following the G20 Summit, we have established strong ties with all major countries. Under Prime Minister Modi, India is on the path to becoming a developed nation,” he concluded.
