Rohit Pawar Slams Union Minister's Inadequate Response to Ajit Pawar Plane Crash
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 17 (NationPress) Rohit Pawar, a legislator from the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP), has openly criticized Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu regarding his inadequate response to the recent plane crash that claimed the life of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
In a post on X, Rohit Pawar stated, “What can we truly expect from someone who participated in the wedding of the son of the VSR company owner, with whom they have financial connections and accepted hospitality?”
He continued, “The Central Civil Aviation Minister’s hurried and evasive response to the sensitive matter of Ajitdada’s plane crash has been observed by the entire nation. The Minister, who asserted that the investigation is proceeding transparently and in accordance with international standards, mentioned that the black box was damaged (despite it being secure in the Baramati incident). My straightforward query is, why isn’t this information being shared with the American agency that is requesting details on the Ahmedabad crash? They must provide answers to the questions raised.”
Rohit Pawar, who has met with several opposition leaders to advocate for the plane crash issue, expressed, “I am optimistic that @INCIndia, alongside the #INDIA alliance, will effectively address this matter in Parliament!”
Previously, Rohit Pawar called for the resignation of the Union Civil Aviation Minister until the inquiry into the crash is concluded. He also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether the incident was a legitimate accident or an intentional act against the leader.
According to Rohit Pawar, the visibility conditions on the day of the incident were extremely poor, measuring only 3,000 meters. He mentioned that the pilot, Captain Kapoor, had contacted V.K. Singh, the owner of VSR Ventures, whose aircraft carrying Ajit Pawar crashed in Baramati on January 28, to inform him that departure was not feasible due to the weather.
“Captain Kapoor clearly stated to V.K. Singh that visibility was inadequate and that they could not take off. However, Singh allegedly instructed him to proceed, saying, 'You take off; I will manage the rest later,'” Rohit Pawar alleged.
Pawar emphasized that the Call Detail Records (CDR) of V.K. Singh would reveal the necessary proof of this conversation.
Noting the pilot’s mental state, Pawar highlighted that medical reports confirmed Captain Kapoor had no traces of drugs, alcohol, or toxins in his system. “If the pilot was clear-headed and professional, why would he take such a risk? We need to investigate further into the pressure he faced. Why is V.K. Singh being protected?” he questioned.
