Faridabad, Oct 24 (NationPress) The holy land of Haryana experienced a remarkable and spiritual event on Friday as the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra” bearing the sacred Joda Sahib of Dasam Patshah Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur was warmly welcomed.
This extraordinary blend of faith, devotion, and unity was evident throughout the city.
Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini participated in the welcome ceremony by receiving the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra” at Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurdwara in NIT-5, Faridabad.
CM Saini also extended a warm reception to Union Minister Hardeep Puri, who was part of the yatra, upon his arrival in Haryana.
He honored the Sant Sangat and the Panj Pyaras (the five beloved ones) who welcomed the yatra by gifting them turbans at Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurdwara. Prior to the yatra’s departure, the Chief Minister showed his respect by bowing at the Gurdwara and listening to the ‘ardaas’.
He then had the darshan of the holy Joda Sahib. Earlier, Ravinder Singh Rana, a member of the Haryana Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Inder Jeet Singh, head of Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurdwara, and representatives of the Sikh community welcomed and honored the Chief Minister.
On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister remarked that Faridabad is the first destination of this grand pilgrimage, which commenced in Delhi and will culminate at Takht Sri Harmandir Patna Sahib in Bihar. This city, recognized as the gateway to Delhi, has now been sanctified by the dust of the Guru’s feet.
“Any place graced by the Guru’s holy feet transforms into a pilgrimage site, and today, Faridabad has become a sanctified destination for millions of devotees,” he expressed.
He expressed appreciation to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the organizers of this pilgrimage for their dedication in orchestrating this spiritual journey.
CM Saini stated that with the arrival of this sacred Joda Sahib, the divine brilliance, sacrifice, and devotion of Dasmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh are revived.
“Guru Gobind Singh-ji sacrificed his life in the fight against Mughal oppression. To combat injustice, he transformed ordinary individuals into the Khalsa -- a force devoted to upholding righteousness and safeguarding the weak. This holy Joda Sahib serves as a reminder of his profound pledge, ‘Sawa lakh se ek ladaun, tabe Gobind Singh naam kahaun’,” he remarked.
