Did Bihar Dy CM Samrat Choudhary Just Target Rahul Gandhi Over His Meeting with Makhana Farmers?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Aug 30 (NationPress) With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching rapidly, political organizations have accelerated their efforts to engage party workers.
As part of this initiative, the NDA convened a workers’ meeting in Katihar, where Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary addressed party supporters at the High School Ground in Korha.
In his address, Choudhary launched a scathing critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, poking fun at Gandhi’s recent gathering with Makhana farmers during the Voter Adhikar Yatra.
He quipped, “Rahul Gandhi is completely unaware of Makhana. He visited farmers in socks. This is the same Rahul Gandhi who once suggested extracting gold from potatoes. What does he know about the challenges faced by farmers?”
Furthering his critique, Choudhary noted, “While Italy may not have similar traditions, in India, farmers and their culture are profoundly ingrained. Rahul Gandhi’s upbringing and perspective seem to be shaped by Italian culture rather than Indian values.”
The Deputy CM’s passionate remarks reflect the NDA’s assertive approach as the electoral contest heats up in Bihar.
Meanwhile, in Sitamarhi, following Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) showcased a significant display of strength on Saturday.
The roadshow, led by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, commenced from the BJP district office in Simra, traversing through Rajopatti and Mehsaul Chowk before concluding at Janaki Sthan.
Upon reaching Janaki Sthan, Rai offered prayers at the Sita Maiyya temple, while BJP supporters welcomed him with drums and fireworks.
Thousands of enthusiastic supporters bearing party flags participated in the roadshow, transforming it into a spectacular demonstration of political engagement.
BJP District President Manish Kumar Gupta, Bathnaha MLA Anil Kumar, and several prominent leaders were also present.
To maintain order, extensive police presence was established along the Sitamarhi-Dumra route and within the temple grounds.
