Patna, Jan 24 (NationPress) In his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a significant visit to Vaishali district on Saturday. Here, he laid the foundation for 25 development projects valued at Rs 54 crore and inaugurated 103 schemes worth Rs 98 crore.
Accompanying him were Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with several ministers including Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, and Lakhendra Kumar Roshan. The event also saw the presence of JD-U state president and MLA Umesh Singh Kushwaha, along with other MLAs and senior officials.
During the visit, Nitish Kumar took the time to inspect the emergency ward at the Government Medical College in Mahua and explored stalls that showcased local startups and departmental initiatives.
He reviewed the desilting operations of the Via River and attended an exhibition that highlighted the various schemes launched during the Samriddhi Yatra.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to beneficiaries of different development and welfare programs.
While addressing the gathered crowd, Kumar emphasized the accomplishments of his nearly two-decade-long tenure, drawing comparisons with the state’s conditions before 2005.
He referred to the previous RJD-led governments and mentioned that Bihar previously suffered from inadequate roads and basic infrastructure, instilling fear among residents after dark.
Additionally, he conducted a review meeting with district officials, instructing them to regularly inspect ongoing projects, expedite progress, and ensure timely and quality completion.
The Samriddhi Yatra commenced on January 16 from West Champaran, traversing through various districts before arriving at Vaishali, where projects worth several thousand crores have been launched and inaugurated.
