New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) As the NDA launched its collaborative manifesto, 'Sankalp Patra', for the impending Bihar Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) praised it on Friday as a strategic framework for achieving the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' through solidarity and comprehensive growth.
Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh expressed to IANS, "The NDA manifesto that was unveiled today outlines a definitive strategy to transform Bihar into a crucial player in the 'Viksit Bharat' initiative. It prioritizes job creation for the youth, opportunities for farmers, the empowerment of women, and the enhancement of Bihar's infrastructure and urban areas, ultimately aiming for holistic advancement. In contrast, previous administrations managed to provide only 94,000 jobs, whereas the NDA has yielded concrete outcomes, from roads to job prospects."
BJP MP and ex-Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad underscored the inclusive essence of the NDA manifesto.
"It emphasizes support for farmers, backward and extremely backward classes, along with the general category. It outlines initiatives to secure jobs for one crore youth, establish skill centers to promote entrepreneurship, and devise a growth strategy for the extremely backward classes. This embodies true development," Prasad noted.
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal characterized the NDA manifesto as a "pledge of the five Pandavas -- JP Nadda, Nitish Kumar, Upendra Kushwaha, Chirag Paswan, and Jitan Ram Manjhi."
He elaborated, "It symbolizes the assurance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the faith of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the vision of a cohesive Bihar. This manifesto indeed serves as a blueprint for fulfilling the aspiration of a 'Viksit Bharat' through robust unity."
BJP MLA Sanjeev Chaurasiya stressed the manifesto's commitment to women's empowerment.
"This initiative stands as a testament to India's steadfast dedication to empowering women -- half of our population. Specific funds have been earmarked to realize this vision, with every initiative aimed at bolstering women's engagement and strength," he stated.
Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin mentioned that the manifesto is rooted in two decades of advancements under the NDA administration.
"Our Sankalp is built on our accomplishments over the past 20 years -- enrichment of every community, every region, and every sector. We have fostered household prosperity, provided for the needy, and facilitated healthcare through Ayushman Bharat. But what has the Opposition achieved?" he questioned.
BJP MP Brij Lal remarked, "This is our Sankalp Patra, not merely an election manifesto. Others issue manifestos but seldom fulfill them. For example, the RJD's promises are unattainable. Yet, when the BJP publishes a Sankalp Patra, it delivers on its commitments."
The NDA 'Sankalp Patra' was presented by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP Chief J.P. Nadda in Patna on Friday morning, just days ahead of the first voting phase. All leaders from the NDA's member parties, including Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha, Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas, and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha, were present on the podium.
The NDA manifesto extends grand promises to create one crore government jobs in a state notorious for the extensive migration of workers.
It places special emphasis on women's empowerment initiatives, including an ambitious objective of transforming one crore women into 'lakhpati didis', enabling them to earn Rs 1 lakh annually, in addition to providing financial aid of up to Rs 2 lakh.
The NDA manifesto pledges significant infrastructure advancements in the state, featuring the construction of four international airports and expressways.
Bihar's Finance Minister Samrat Choudhary, while briefing the media about the NDA manifesto, stated, "The NDA commits to generating over one crore government jobs and employment opportunities, will conduct a skills census, create skill-oriented employment, and position Bihar as a global learning hub with mega learning centers established in every district."
