Guwahati, Dec 27 (NationPress) On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas on Thursday, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal paid heartfelt homage to the remarkable bravery and sacrifice of Sahibzade Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh.

During the event held at Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Dibrugarh, Assam, Sonowal expressed his gratitude for being part of the celebrations with the Sikh community.

On this noteworthy occasion, the Union Minister honored the two courageous sons and paid his respects to Mata Gujri and Guru Gobind Singh.

"Every generation must draw inspiration from the indomitable courage and sacrifices of these martyrs to serve the motherland with devotion and patriotism," Sonowal remarked during his address.

He further stated, "At such a young age, Sahibzade Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh faced the brutalities of the Mughal aggressors with unmatched resilience. Their ultimate sacrifice for the honor of their faith and homeland is not merely a chapter in India's history but a guiding light for humanity. Through Veer Bal Diwas, we strive to promote awareness about their monumental sacrifice and motivate future generations to uphold justice and righteousness. This observance strengthens our commitment to the principles of service and patriotism."

Sonowal, the BJP MP from Dibrugarh, urged everyone to unite in their commitment to faith, justice, and a righteous path.

The Union Minister further expressed, "I am confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary initiatives and sincere reverence for our heroes will continue to motivate the youth to learn about their history and contribute to the nation's promising future. On this momentous day, I once again bow to the courage and resolve of Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, who laid down their lives at the tender ages of 6 and 9, standing resolutely against the vast army of Aurangzeb."
