Shaina NC Commends Omar as a 'Wise Leader' for Critiquing Congress' EVM Concerns

Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) The National Conference (NC) leader and the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Omar Abdullah, recently took a stand against the objections raised by his INDIA bloc ally Congress regarding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). This sparked a commendation from Shaina NC, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena, who referred to Abdullah as a very wise leader.
In remarks made to IANS on Monday, Shaina NC expressed her admiration for Abdullah's courage in questioning the credibility of the objections regarding EVMs within the INDIA alliance.
On Sunday, Abdullah highlighted the contradictory nature of the Opposition bloc's position on EVMs, stating, "When you have over a hundred members of Parliament utilizing the same EVMs and you celebrate that as a triumph for your party, you cannot subsequently claim... we have concerns about these EVMs because the election outcomes are not what we desire."
Shaina NC resonated with Abdullah's views, stressing the importance of maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
"Omar Abdullah is indeed a very wise leader as he has questioned the stance of his INDIA bloc ally Congress regarding EVMs," she asserted.
"He correctly pointed out that no political party should undermine the voting mechanisms. Celebrating a victory and securing over a hundred members in Parliament should not give rise to doubts about the EVMs when electoral results do not meet your expectations," she added.
Shaina further criticized the erosion of trust in the democratic framework by casting doubt on the validity of the EVMs.
"Where is your truth? Where is your belief in democracy?" she inquired.
"If you lack faith in the Election Commission of India (ECI), then you forfeit your right to contest elections as a registered political entity," she emphasized.
The Shiv Sena leader also addressed the escalating discord within the INDIA bloc, which has been accentuated by Abdullah's critique of Congress on this matter.
"There is nothing substantial left in the INDIA bloc," she stated, adding, "Only they can clarify the issues of unity, division, and disarray within their ranks."
Shaina concluded by reaffirming her belief in the safety of EVMs and the transparency of the electoral process, asserting, "The EVMs are completely secure — no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no tampering. The ECI has confirmed the security of these machines. If we are to trust our democracy, we must place our confidence in the process."
