Jagdambika Pal: Congress' Allies Unveil Truth Behind EVM Controversy

New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) A day after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah criticized the Congress for questioning EVMs after every electoral loss, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee also dismissed the concept of EVM manipulation on Monday.

In response to the comments made by these leaders, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal stated: "These individuals are key allies of the INDIA bloc and they have exposed the Congress."

Jagdambika Pal further remarked: "Congress leaders blame EVMs due to their frustration and confusion. When they win in Telangana or Karnataka, they never question EVMs. But today, when their allies express this sentiment, it reveals how they have misled the public, and now their deception is evident."

Shiv Sena MP Naresh Maske added: "Opposition members have also indicated that when they succeeded in the Lok Sabha, they did not blame EVMs. Yet, when they lost the assembly elections, they pointed fingers at EVMs. The Congress employs a dual strategy. I suggest that Congress should resign from all the Lok Sabha seats they won. Was the EVM in perfect working order when Priyanka Gandhi won from Wayanad?"

Responding to a question concerning the Nehru Memorial, he said: "If Sonia Gandhi has taken the document, she must return it. What is Sonia Gandhi attempting to conceal? If she fails to return it, it will indicate that Nehru opposed Ambedkar and was against ST-SC reservations."

On the matter of the "two and a half years" formula in Maharashtra, he noted: "There are 288 legislators in Maharashtra. Our party holds 60 seats. Each legislator is qualified for a ministerial role. Many of them are serving their third or fourth terms. They believe that by becoming ministers, they can contribute to Maharashtra. Those appointed as ministers will have two and a half years to demonstrate their effectiveness."

He also mentioned that a decision regarding Ramdas Athawale's cadre would be reached shortly.

RLD MP Rajkumar Sangwan commented on 'One Nation-One Election', stating: "This is advantageous for the country. Conducting elections across multiple states squanders time. All energy is consumed in the electoral process. This bill will benefit the nation, and we will support it whenever it is introduced."

Regarding Omar Abdullah's remarks on EVMs, he expressed: "These are merely frustrated individuals. When they face electoral defeats, they make EVMs an issue. When they win, EVMs are perfectly fine. Only those rejected by the electorate are questioning EVMs. The public is unwilling to accept them. They are losing due to inadequate votes and then attributing it to EVMs."

BJP MP Ravi Kishan weighed in on Omar Abdullah's comments about EVMs, saying: "The truth is surfacing. Even their allies in the opposition are revealing the facts. When they win elections, they celebrate, but as soon as they lose, they start blaming EVMs."

Concerning Mani Shankar Aiyar's statements, Ravi Kishan added: "I noted he claimed that Congress prevented him from meeting the high command. I want to emphasize that the entire country has become dominated by the BJP. Today, the entire opposition wishes to join the BJP. However, where will we accommodate them? There aren't enough seats."

On the Nehru Memorial matter, Ravi Kishan stated, "The requested letter must be returned."
