Lucknow, March 1 (NationPress) Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma, launched a strong critique of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) national president Asaduddin Owaisi.
He asserted that Owaisi's significance is minor compared to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, claiming that Owaisi’s remarks are merely intended to disseminate falsehoods.
Sharma clarified that CM Yogi Adityanath has never made any remarks against the Urdu language. He explained that the CM's comments were not targeted against any specific language but were aimed at eliminating narrow-mindedness that fosters divisions within society.
Sharma further highlighted that Urdu is not a foreign tongue, but an essential aspect of Indian culture, and is equal to other Indian languages.
He denounced Owaisi’s political tactics as negative and inflammatory, accusing him of perpetually voicing anti-national sentiments and trying to foster divisions in society.
Rajya Sabha MP Sharma stated that Owaisi’s strategies only encourage division, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been dedicated to unity and progress in the nation.
He also pointed out that the BJP's successes in Muslim-majority constituencies have debunked Owaisi's assertions.
"The victories in Azamgarh, Meerut, and other Muslim-majority regions prove that the Muslim community is placing their confidence in the BJP," he stated.
Sharma characterized the BJP as a "cadre-driven party" that prioritizes the welfare of the populace and possesses the aptitude to meet its promises.
He concluded by condemning Owaisi’s political stance, asserting that his objective is to create discord and divide people, but such divisive ideologies have no future.
Previously, Owaisi had remarked that the UP chief minister does not recognize that Urdu is integral to Uttar Pradesh's culture.
Owaisi stated: "The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is unaware that Urdu is a component of UP's culture. People associated with the RSS and BJP do not realize that Urdu is safeguarded by the Constitution, just like other languages."
