Patna, April 18 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, carried out an on-site evaluation of the preparations for the upcoming air show set to take place on April 23 at Patna's J.P. Ganga Path in honor of Shaurya Diwas.
This event marks the first occasion for Patna to host a magnificent aerial display by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force.
The air show venue is strategically located near Sabhyata Dwar, along the banks of the Ganga River, east of the J.P. Ganga Path underpass, right in front of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
Preparations are underway for public viewing along the picturesque stretch of J.P. Ganga Path, with seating areas being created in front of Sabhyata Dwar.
During his visit, Nitish Kumar instructed officials to implement robust security measures and effective crowd management to cater to the anticipated large audience.
Attention was also given to ensuring safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow in the adjoining areas. The centerpiece of the Shaurya Diwas festivities will be the awe-inspiring performance of the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, featuring nine Hawk-132 jet planes.
The decision to host this event was made by the Bihar government as part of a series of events commemorating the birth anniversary of Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, a legendary figure from the 1857 revolt and a symbol of valor and resistance in India's fight for freedom.
The IAF will conduct a full-dress rehearsal for the air show on April 22, with special invitations extended to students and college-goers to witness the rehearsal and draw inspiration from the Indian Air Force.
The official air show will be inaugurated by Nitish Kumar on April 23, with the event scheduled from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on both days.
The show will feature a series of high-speed maneuvers and aerial formations, promising to be a historic and visually captivating experience for the residents of Bihar.
